Sarah Blacker’s music is a unique blend of acoustic rock, folk, and jazz with stand-out vocals and timeless songwriting with a quirky twist that helps to set her apart from other female singer/songwriters.

Sarah Blacker is a part-time Music Therapist for children and adults with special needs, and full-time, hard-working, touring singer/songwriter. She recently released a brand new EP, ‘Perfectly Imperfect’ to a sold-out crowd at the legendary Club Passim in Cambridge, MA. After selling out of 500 physical copies in just 3 weeks, she is presenting the EP at live performances and online. This EP is available for download HERE.

The past year has been filled with excitement for Blacker as she not only performed a sold-out tour of Germany last fall, (thanks to a woman who heard her music in a Boston hotel) but is a current nominee for Boston Music Awards ‘Singer/Songwriter of the Year,’ was selected out of thousands of entrants to perform as an ‘Emerging Artist’ at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, won the title of 2011 My Rural Radio ‘Artist of the Year,’ and was a nominee in Limelight Magazine for singer/songwriter of the year, and for female performer of the year in the New England Music Awards. She showcased at CMJ in NYC, SXSW in Austin, TX, and was invited as a special guest or supporting act for America, James Montgomery, Bruce Marshall, Anais Mitchell, Entrain, Farren Butcher Inc., Jess Klein, Anjte Duvekot, Catie Curtis & Carbon Leaf. She will be presenting on social media at the NERFA Conference 2012.  She also had her song "Smell of Caramel" featured on a November episode of "Jersey Shore."

Blacker has recently released a music video for the single ‘Knocked the Winds,’ from her second record, ‘Come What May,’ which can be seen HERE. She is about to embark on the recording of a brand new EP slated for release in early 2013. Blacker, a DIY artist, is presenting her PledgeMusic Campaign to raise funds for the EP and its promotion, and is touring regionally throughout the fall and winter months with her percussionist, Shaysh, guitar player/vocalists Erik White & Chuck Fisher, and Sean McLaughlin bassist and her producer/engineer at 37′ Productions, Rockland, MA. Their magnetic stage-presence and energetic live shows leave people with blurry eyes, warmed hearts, and a head-full of melodies and words that resound.

Blacker has also shared the stage with the likes of Sara Bareilles, America, Jason Isbell, the Wood Brothers, Carbon Leaf, Lucy Kaplansky and more.

She accompanies herself on the guitar, ukulele and mandolin, and her unique voice and style reminds listeners of Feist, Regina Spektor, and Joni Mitchell. She has independently released 2 CDs and 1 EP, to rave reviews both online and on-air.
